GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESUnder general direction of school administration, monitors student and group behavior in the lunch area, cafeteria and on the playground; maintains a safe and clean atmosphere in the lunch area; uses good judgment regarding safety matters; enforces school playground rules; monitors and supervises students during recess, in classrooms in inclement weather; uses appropriate problem solving strategies to resolve student conflicts; notifies administration of safety hazards, vandalism, and other disruptive activities; assists in emergencies concerning students' vandalism, and other disruptive activities; assists in emergencies concerning students' supervision; demonstrates patience; responds positively to suggestions; is friendly and pleasant; assists school personnel as required; performs other duties as related. QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION: Any combination equivalent to graduation from High School.EXPERIENCE: One year of paid or volunteer experience working with multi-age groups of children. Training or course work in child growth and development, instructional technology, or a closely related field is highly desirable.KNOWLEDGE OF: Modern office equipment and procedures; correct English usage, spelling, grammar, punctuation, basic math, telephone etiquette, report preparation, data input, and word processing.ABILITIES/SKILLS: Demonstrates an understanding of diverse students, demonstrates patient and a receptive attitude towards students of varied age groups; ability to work with and motivate students; communicates effectively in oral and written form in English; be empathetic with students having special needs; understand and carries out oral and written directions; establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with children and adults.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
